To the Extreme

Many audiophiles lovingly tweak their prized audio systems. To the layman many of these adjustments may seem a bit extreme. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to trying the newest hot tweak. But the owner of this system was so completely out of tweaking ideas he took a decidedly spiritual turn. Note the Buddha between the speakers.

Hey, whatever works.

I wonder about this guy's room dimensions. Is that a diffussion panel on the left wall or some sort of IKEA shelving unit?

Secret word: "voozgsue."

"I went to IKEA and bought the Voozgsue shelf!"

Clint-

That very well could be a diffusion panel, with each square panel differing in depth. That is a smaller room, and that might be part of the reason for the horn speakers. Because of the narrow dispersion pattern that horns have they interface with room acoustics much less. But the Buddha in the middle is a hard reflective surface. Depending on what it is made of it could be having a negative effect on the sound. Of course it could also be acting as a diffuser. It's hard to say without listening.
